Made famous in the song "Green River", by Creedence Clearwater Revival, where John and Tom Fogerty camped and played as kids, this is our favorite section of the river featuring a long white water section that empties into a massive Emerald Pool complete with sunning and dive rock with ancient Indian grinding stone pockets, back currents that will circulate you through the pool on your tube, and plenty of shade along the shore. For the adventurous of the group, you can walk up stream and drop in for an exhilarating white water ride, get out, and do it all over again.
